What can be done on women security in Gurgaon

Times of India has launched a campaign on
How to make Gurgaon safe for women?

This is what I think -

Answering on women security measure is simple and tough at the same time.
Simple because we learnt about women respect in school and through family values.
Though because there are certain segments of the society who still see women as a piece of sex toy. I wonder, what do they do with their wives, sisters and mothers.

There lot to be done to improve the situation in Gurgaon and PAN India:
1. It has to start with education - Ensure atleast secondary level education for all. Civic sense should be must subject.

2. Parenting & Work hours - ensure work life balance by strict 9AM to 5PM jobs. This will ensure that kids spend quality time with parents and grab good behavior/values.

3. Policing - More patrolling by police vans/bikes. Permanent installation of police booths or mobile vans at critical places.

4. Law - No mercy for guilty at whatever level. Toughest punishment.

5. Working hours for women - Try to accommodate women in morning shifts and if the job demands night shifts, then the employer has to ensure cabs with security guards.

6. Self defense Training -  A must for a girl child at school and college level.

7. Technology - GPS in mobiles a must, so that a alarm can be raised by the victim to the police and can be tracked immediately. Secondly, use of security camera at critical places a must.

Airtel's 3G is pathetic

Perfect example of companies taking customers for a ride. Airtel as soon as launching it's 3G service allowed it's customers to switch to new network free of cost. Obviously they wanted people to experience the service, get habbitual and finally keep using the expensive service.
So, people on 2G data plan could continue with their existing plan plus were able to switch 3G mode whenever needed. The company charged 10 paisa per 10 kb for data services.
It was a perfect situation for customers as they enjoyed both the worlds as per their requirement and mind it they paid for it.

Now, all of a sudden Airtel realised that less people are opting for full fledge 3G plan, so without informing customers they made a rule that one can be on a 2G or on a 3G plan only. The intention is to sell more 3G plan to already enticed customers.

Companies use customers to their advantage. 3G network is erratic, thus call drops is a big issue. So, cannot be on 3G expensive network always.
Plus, there is no way one can know the amount of kb used under any data plan. How would customer choose a 3G data plan i.e. without knowing his average monthly usage. And customer cannot control his monthly usuage. By the way, this facility is available on Vodafone.

Symbian Anna is tough competition to Android, iOS etc.

Okay, so there has been loads of talks around Nokia losing its grounds to iOS, Android. Blackberry OS, etc.
Well, after using Symbian Anna, I feel otherwise. I think, Anna has lots of things to offer in terms of UI and Nokia is just an inch away from iOS.

Let's see what is different in symbian anna in lay man terms:
1. Better UI. Flexible floating/active homepages. Infact, better than android.
2. Superb internet browser with flash support.
3. Push HTML emails.
4. Rich touch experience.
5. Large no. of applications, though developers are biased towards android and ios platforms.
6. Reponsive default applications. Symbian Anna is quite stable, does't hang.
7. Lively icons.
8. SMS thread view.
9. Integrated social media application like facebook and twitter.
10. All-in-one chat.

Last but not the least, Nokia's trust.

Above is enough to challenge iphone or android phones. All that Nokia needs to do, is come up with better designs.

Cervical causes and remedies

Last few days has been killing. I have been really struggling and severe cervical neck pain.
While browsing on the internet, I discovered the following material and I would surely try the remedies suggested here.

Source - www.tandurust.com/natural-home-remedies/home-remedies-for-cervical-spondylosis.html

Cervical Spondylosis is a degenerative disease of the cervical
region of the spine. The spine is made of blocks of bone, in-
between them cushions of cartilage and elastic tissues are
present called inter-vertebral discs which act as shock
absorbers, but when the space between the cervical
vertebrae narrows, nerves are compressed and causes pain. This is called Cervical Spondylosis. Symptoms of Cervical Spondylosis Continual severe pain which may spread to both side of
shoulders, collar bone, head-side and backside of neck; pain
may occur in both the arms and fingers; acute or chronic
stiffness that may lead to restricted movements; giddiness,
headache, numbness or complete loss of sensation on
affected side; weakness in the muscles of hand or arm. Causes of Cervical Spondylosis Injury especially to the neck. Faulty posture due to soft chair and coaches. Improper lifting of weights. Stress and strain caused by sitting for a long time. Incorrect nutrition and psychological strains. Lack of exercise weakens the muscles and makes them
vulnerable. Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis Walking, bicycling and swimming improve the supply of
nutrients to spinal discs and delays process of deterioration. People with sedentary occupation should change positions
often, stand up every hour, avoid soft cushioned seats, use
thin pillows or avoid it, and sleep on firm mattresses with
knees bent at right angles to the torso. Perform joint movements moving wrists up and down,
folding and unfolding fingers, rotating wrists clockwise and
anticlockwise, moving neck up and down, moving to the
sides and rotating it clockwise and anticlockwise. The patient should have 4 meals a day consisting of milk,
salad of raw vegetables, steamed vegetables, whole-wheat
bread and sprouts. Adequate amounts of proteins, vitamin C, Vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus are also essential. Avoid sour curd, sugar, spicy, fried and fatty foods, tea and coffee,
refined and processed food and tobacco and smoking. 2-3 cloves of garlic should be taken in the morning. Oil
prepared by frying 10 cloves of garlic in 60gms of oil, cooled
and then applied vigorously in affected part left for 3 hours
and then take a warm bath. This should be followed for 15
days. Lemon juice mixed with salt should be taken 2-3 times daily
and chebulic myrobalan after meals gives quick relief. Yoga or hot fomentation for 5-10 minutes twice a day or mild
oil massage to neck, shoulders and hands are beneficial.
