Laser Eye Treatment

Other day I was at my friends place watching soccer. While everyone was enjoying the match, I was stressed out. You know why? i had forgotten by eye glasses at home.. :(
Soon my friends realised it and got a topic to joke around. I then decided to get a laser eye treatment & get rid of my spectacles.

Therefore, I started researching on the web. Here is what I learnt...

Source: wikipedia
Definition
LASIK or Lasik (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a type of refractive surgery for correcting myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. LASIK is performed by ophthalmologists using a laser.[1] LASIK is similar to other surgical corrective procedures such as photorefractive keratectomy, PRK, (also called ASA, Advanced Surface Ablation) though it provides benefits such as faster patient recovery. Both LASIK and PRK represent advances over radial keratotomy in the surgical treatment of vision problems, and are thus viable alternatives to wearing corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses for many patients.

LASIK eye treatment is the ideal remedy for:
  1. Any person who would like to get rid himself/herself from dependency on lasses or contact lenses.
  2. Any professional in various sports like swimming, cricket, squash, badminton, skiing, tennis and other outdoor sports.
  3. Anyone seeking employment in the armed forces or merchant navy and professional pilots and individuals with interest in acting and modeling.
  4. People who are intolerant to contact lenses (soft, semi-soft and hard) which give rise to irritation, watering and redness of the eyes.
  5. Anyone who would like to discard spectacles and contact lenses for cosmetic reasons.
Pre-operative procedure:
  1. Refraction : To check the correct number of spectacles
  2. Corneal topography : To map the power of cornea
  3. Corneal pachymetry : To measure the thickness of cornea
  4. Keratometry : To measure the curvature of cornea
  5. Slit-lamp examination : To assess the condition of the cornea
  6. Tonometry : To check the eye pressure
  7. Retinal check-up
Do's and Dont's
  1. Do not rub your eyes for one month.
  2. Avoid swimming, steam bath, sauna and Turkish bath for one month. Bathe carefully closing your eyes under the shower and do not allow water to go in the eyes.
  3. Avoid gardening or field work or dirty and dusty environment for one week.
  4. You can watch TV or read in moderation within two days of the procedure. Though not harmful, doing these activities for a long time could make you feel tired and cause strain in the eyes.
  5. Post-operative care is as important as the surgery. Do not forget to use the prescribed eye- drops.
  6. It is advisable to use sunglasses for two weeks when going outdoors to avoid glare.

Laser Eye Treatment Risks
 Source: ezinearticles

1. Loss of Vision

Complete loss of vision due to laser treatment is so rare that there are not statistics for this complication. However, there are reports of partial vision loss as a result of surgery. The US Food and Drug Administration also reports that out of 1 million surgeries, 3% report some loss of vision.

2. Aberrations
Aberrations in vision following laser treatment for eyes can mean many things. At the most extreme end, it means that you have double vision, stunning halos, massive starbursts and/or ghosting. Additional surgery is usually needed to correct these aberrations. The positive end of things might just be increased light sensitivity or some slight starbursting and/or glaring from lights at night, putting a damper on going out without sunglasses in the summer and night driving. These aberrations, while annoying, usually do not qualify for follow up surgery. Most people simply learn to live with these issues, which are reported by about 3.5% of patients according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

3. Dry Eye
If you usually suffer from dry eye, you may be disqualified from surgery as this is one of the most common side effects of laser eye treatments. The risk of developing severe dry eye as a result of the procedures varies from person to person, but most patients do complain of some level of dry eye in the first few months after treatment. If you still have dry eye six months after eye surgery, talk with your doctor or surgeon. While most cases are treatable with over the counter drops, in some cases prescription rewetting drops may be needed. In truly severe cases, alterations to the tear ducts and eye drainage system can be made as a last resort.

4. Over-correction or Under-correction
The final major category of risk for laser treatments is that the level of correction may not be perfect on the first try. This can be caused by a number of factors, including completely natural factors based on the way your eye heals after surgery. Most doctors include the cost of follow up "touch ups" in the price of the surgery, although most correction errors are addressed with glasses or contacts. Fewer than 10% of patients will ever need a touch up, even though patients are often seen with glasses after surgery. It can be frustrating to think that after you have paid for surgery you would still need vision correction, but the truth is that while laser surgery improves vision it does not always perfect vision. Additionally, reading glasses may represent a reasonable compromise over an additional laser eye treatment which may not benefit you.

What do you suggest? Is laser eye treatment safe? Well look like... but I still fear.. :)

Infection

INFECTION

In today’s environment Word ‘INFECTION’ become the synonym of diseases.

For any disease first treatment applied by the medical practitioner is the great invention of Medical science i.e. ‘ANTIBIOTIC’. And the cause is- POLLUTION.

For any disease and infection somehow responsible factors are ‘MICROBES’. The growth of a parasitic organism within the body. (A parasitic organism is one that lives on or in another organism and draws its nourishment there from.) A person with an infection has another organism (a "germ") growing within him, drawing its nourishment from the person.

In short we can say- An uncontrolled growth of harmful microorganisms in a host. Classification of Parasites (Pathogen)

1-Fungi
2-Viruses
3-Bacteria
4-Protozoa
5-worms

When infection attacks the body, anti-infective drugs can help turn the tide of battle. Four types of anti-infective drugs exist:

antibacterial, antiviral, ant tubercular, and antifungal.

Many individuals develop a variety of infections but quickly overcome them. However, some individuals develop chronic or persistent infections. In the majority of cases, persistent infections are caused by viruses and not bacteria.

The common viruses that can cause chronic infection include measles, hepatitis, various prion infections that affect the brain (mad cow), herpes, infectious mononucleosis and Cytomegalovirus (CMV). Bacteria can also cause chronic infections in individuals with diabetes, those with compromised immunity and in individuals who smoke.

ARE ACUPRESSURE / ACUPUNCTURE HELPFUL TO TREAT INFECTION AND TO INCREASE IMMUNE SYSTEM?

Is infected person can be fully cured with the use of Antibiotics?

How can we Defeat microbes?

What kinds of diseases are possible with these Microbes?

There are so many questions that comes in our mind. It visualized that repeated dose of de worming antibiotic weaker the body immune system. Also it is a fact that once the causing agent of infection entered in the body, it is impossible to destroy them completely, yes, they may be inactive for some time but again can be active with the positive body environment for them.

But with the Help of Acupressure and acupuncture we treated thousand of patient successfully, without any side effect. It increase the Immune system of the body so that body itself can defeat with these agent and destroy them.

That’s why we say it is a root cause treatment. Till now with the help of this therapy we have treated thousand of infected patients suffering with the diseases like- Appendicitis, Headache, Migraines, Asthma, breathlessness, Arthritis, Fileria, heart diseases, kidney diseases, different types of skin diseases etc.

Today we will talk about WORMS IN CHILDREN

Today every school has the process of de worming for their student. Also Doctor’s advise us for de worming in every six months. But problem is still there.

Symptoms in children suffering with the worms

1- Salivation in the night
2- Teeth rubbing
3- Eating habit of Chalk, clay etc.
4- Jaws become blackish
5- White spots appear over the face

There are so many variety of microbes are available which are responsible for them.

For any kind of repeated diseases in children microbes are responsible- as repeated cough & cold, asthma, sinusitis, ear infection, ellergy, hairfalling etc.

Now we will learn how can we prevent and cure our self completely and can increase our immune system.

See the picture below-

1-We can apply black color on the given point (front & back both side)
2- We can apply small byol magnets- white byol magnet at front side and yellow byol magnet at back side.

Hide gray hairs

Silver strands can be a confidence killer at any age. Whether you have just a few white hairs or a full-on platinum head, we've got easy expert tips to conceal grays at-home and on-the-go to keep you feeling your best.
If you have few gray hair strands than you can apply henna paste mixed with Indian gooseberry powder leave it for 2 to 3 hours. Just rinse it with plain water, than apply coconut oil on your hairs.
There many among us who have good amount of gray hairs. In this condition you can apply henna paste mixed with coffee powder leave it for 2 hours. Just rinse it with plain water, than apply any hair oil on your hairs.
But, if you do not like the color of henna on your hairs then can go for hair color as an easy option. Now days there are many brands in the market that are providing good variety and color choice. You can try L'Oreal’s ammonia free range as ammonia is not good for your skin and hairs.
My advice to you if your age is less than 25 years, not to go for hair coloring as a solution for covering gray hairs. In this case, if you have very few gray hairs than mark those with any herbal ayurvedic kajal pencil for instant and quick solution.
It is always better to have healthy lifestyle so that you can prevent these types of problems. Here I will provide some basic nutrition information which could be helpful in treating your hair condition.
Food for hairs:
  1. Sea food: Fish like salmon, halibut and sardines are packed with beauty benefits, including the prevention of brittle hair. Oysters and crab are also great sources of zinc, which can be crucial to preventing hair shedding and loss.
  2. Protein from veges: Vegans and vegetarians can get their zinc from fortified breakfast cereals, and their protein from tofu, edamame and beans. In addition to being full of protein, beans also have plenty of iron "for the prevention of iron-deficiency anemia, which can be tied to hair loss.
  3. Vitamin B: Black beans, Green peas and spinach contain B vitamins, which "help to support new hair growth and improve circulation to the scalp.
  4. Vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid: It may prevent the graying of hair. It can be found in eggs, whole grains, cooked dried beans and peas, dates, potatoes, avocados and cauliflower.
  5. Nuts: Almonds, pecans and Brazil nuts provide both selenium and zinc to the diet. Almonds are also having magnesium. Cashews are a good source of zinc. These minerals are good for hair growth.
  6. Vitamin A: It is important for a healthy scalp, which is vital in producing shiny hair. Sweet potatoes and cantaloupe are great sources of vitamin A and C.
  7. Calcium: For calcium you can have low-fat dairy products like milk, yogurt and cheese which helps lengthen and thicken hair by promoting healthy hair growth.

Female fertility issues

Every female has dream to bring new life in their family to cheer their heart and sole. In Indian methodology, the word “mother” signifies the goddess, whom we all pray, who nurtures little ones inside their womb. She is the first one to introduce life on this earth.
But there are some of our female friends who are having problem in conceiving. The first step in any infertility check up is a complete medical history and physical examination. Sexual technique and timing, menstrual history, genetic history, lifestyle issues (such as smoking and drug, alcohol, and caffeine consumption), any medications being taken, and a profile of the patients general medical and emotional health can help the physician decide on appropriate tests.

Preliminary StepsBefore going for any expensive fertility test, you can follow these easy steps which are very helpful and low-cost:
  1. Monitoring basal body temperature: This is accurate in determining if ovulation is actually taking place.
  2. LH surges check: Take an over-the-counter urine test for detecting LH surges. This helps determine the day of ovulation.
Laboratory Tests:
  1. Hormonal balance: Blood and urine tests are taken to evaluate hormone levels. Hormonal tests for ovarian reserve (the number of follicles and quality of the eggs) are especially important for older women. This test includes series of conditions such as:
  • High FSH and LH levels and low estrogen levels suggest premature ovarian failure or hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
  • High LH and low FSH may suggest polycystic ovary syndrome or luteal phase defect.
  • A high FSH and high estrogen level on the third day of the cycle predicts poor success rates in older women trying fertility treatments.
  • LH surges indicate ovulation.
  • Blood tests for prolactin levels and thyroid function are also measured. These are hormones that may indirectly affect fertility.
  1. Ultrasound and Sonohysterography: Ultrasound is the standard imaging technique for evaluating the uterus and ovaries, detecting fibroids, ovarian cysts and tumors, and also obstructions in the urinary tract. It uses sound waves to produce an image of the organs and entails no risk and very little discomfort.
  1. Transvaginal sonohysterography (TV-SH): Sonohysterography may have many applications for infertility evaluation. It has been used to diagnose and locate endometrial polyps, intrauterine adhesions, and separated uteri.
  2. Hysteroscopy: Hysteroscopy is a procedure that may be used to detect the presence of endometriosis, fibroids, polyps, pelvic scar tissue, and blockage at the ends of the fallopian tubes. Some of these conditions can be corrected during the procedure by cutting away any scar tissue that may be binding organs together or by destroying endometrial implants. (It may miss cases of uterine cancer, however, and is not a substitute for more invasive procedures, such as D&C or endometrial biopsy, if cancer is suspected.)
  3. HSG: All HSGs were conducted under the supervision of the same radiologist. They were performed between the 5th and the 14th day of the menstrual cycle. HSG performed to discover possible blockage in the fallopian tubes and abnormalities in the uterus.

Yoga Meditation - Mental Health Part 2

We had discussed earlier about the object and steps of meditation and sahajyoga. That why object is important in meditation. Mind is like restless child who roam around unnecessarily. The one way of achieving high meditation state is called kundalini jagran (it means Awakening of Kundalini).

Now let’s discuss what is the meaning of kundalini.

It is a form of yoga in which one has to meditate using its spinal cord. It is said that, at the base of the spinal cord every human being has a powerful, yet dormant source of energy. If it is achieved and controlled than you will be in very higher state of meditation. In Hindu history there very few people who said to be attained this higher state of mind such as Arjun from Mahabharata. It is said that once it is activated a human gains amazing divine powers like Telepathy, Hypnotism, and Clairvoyance. In fact complete success in life in any and every sphere can come only through the activation of all the Chakras.

This source of energy is known as the Muladhar Chakra from which three subtle channels known as Naadis rise up through the spine and reach thew brain. At five other centres of highly concentrated energy called Chakras.
But this process can be very intricate and difficult unless one is helped by an enlightened Master who has his own Kundalini fully activated, who is aware of all the processes of activation and who can activate the Kundalini of others.

In our yogshastra, it is said that inside the vertebral column, there are seven lotuses located on the Brahma Nadi. These are known as Chakra (spinal centres). Each lotus possesses different number of petals and also a distinct colour and significance.
Remember, one should never attempt such activation himself since such practices if performed without being guided by a Guru create various problems.

Some of the yoga exercise need to follow:
  1. Get up at five in the morning.
  2. Practice both kinds of Bhrastika Pranayam (fast breathing) five to twenty five times.
  3. Practice both kinds of Shaktichalini Mudra five to ten times.
  4. Practice Taran Mudra with four to hundred & one Pranayam
  5. Practice Praridhan Yukti Chalan Mudra.
  6. At last perform mental exercises of activating 'Chakra'.
I am sharing this information to let you know the various ways of meditation. You should remember that for any kind of meditation, the first important thing is pran sancharan (life attainment) by breathing exercise.

Hair Loss

Here, I will share some information about the most common problem we all have called ‘Hair Loss’.
The normal cycle of hair growth lasts for 2 to 3 years. Each hair grows approximately 1 centimeter per month during this phase. About 90 percent of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time. About 10 percent of the hair on your scalp, at any one time, is in a resting phase. After 3 to 4 months, the resting hair falls out and new hair starts to grow in its place.

It is normal to shed about 100 of your hairs a day as part of this cycle. However, some people may experience excessive (more than normal) hair loss. Hair loss of this type can affect any body whether it is men, women or children.

Now, we will discuss that what are the major causes of excessive hail loss?

Medication: Some medicines can cause hair loss such as blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, high blood pressure or heart problems, and supplements as vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants. It has been studied that once the medicine is stopped. The hair loss will reduce and hairs start growing normally.

Due to hormonal imbalance: Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When the hormones return to pre-pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal cycle of growth and loss starts again.

After effects of any surgery: The patient under gone a surgery may notice sudden and very heavy fall of hairs. It has been notice that in some therapies, it could be the case of permanent partial baldness.

Due to infections: You may suffer from sudden, abnormal hair loss due to any fungal hair infection. It will stop once infection is treated. Lice are another problem which results in infection and hair loss.

Other factors: Now a days the common problem of major hair fall is due to stress in one’s day to day life. Though it is a temporary condition but it may cause other health problems and worse the over all body condition. The other problem is pollution.
I have just discussed the some of the major causes of hair fall. Now, I will share the some prevention or cure tips which will help you to control you sudden, heavy hair fall.
  1. In case you are on any medication and want to improve your hair condition. Than there are certain supplements such as Biotin which helps to reduce hair fall and improve your hair follicles.

You should drink 3 liters of water daily to rinse of the extra toxin of medicines and antibiotics.
Other: Protien rich diet and drinking lots of water is necessary for all of us. There should be enough omega 3 in our food. You should have cod liver oil capsules as it is good for eyes, skin and hairs. You can also have Triphala powder easily available in the market.

Yoga Meditation - Mental Health Part 1

In today’s stress full world we all know the benefits of yoga. So, here I am, sharing some of the asanas which will help you to meditate to reduce your stress.
There are several techniques from which one need to learn how you should maintain balance in your life such as Sahajayoga, breathing power yoga etc. But before that you should know what meditation is?
Meditation is a form in which person relaxes with its inner side without worrying about the outer surroundings. But without knowing exactly the nature of this process it is impossible to correctly realize it.
Some therapist suggests that meditation is that when you consult your inner self without any outer object. However, it is incorrect some how. You cannot start meditating as it own. You should have one object to meditate on. As without an object to meditate upon, there is no meditation.
The adult mind is like a small baby, the more you try to calm it by force, the more it will refuse to do that. So, it is necessary to let yourself absorbed by an object.

Meditation is strongest form in Buddhism. They too believe meditation on an object such as a burning white candle.

There are three steps of meditation:
1. Dharana - mental concentration - This means attention towards particular object.
2. Dhyana - meditation - This means continuous flow of the mental processes toward the object.
3. Samadhi – blissful identification – This means co-penetration of the object of meditation with the practitioner's own being.

But before understanding these steps you need to exercise some of the yoga breathing asanas such as pranayama and savasana.

Pranayama:
Pranayama is the ability to control one's breath so that the inhalation and exhalation of air is rhythmic.
The one form of pranayama is just inhale counting five through your nose than hold your breath till eight counts and than release it either through nose or mouth counting five. Repeat this process for three times a day. Gradually, increase the times you practice this exercise.

Savasana (Corpse Pose, alternately spelled Shavasana, and also known as mrta-asana):
It is a relaxing posture intended to rejuvenate body, mind and spirit.
Lying on the back, the arms and legs are spead at about 45 degrees, the eyes are closed and the breath deep. The whole body is relaxed onto the floor with an awareness of the chest and abdomen, rising and falling of each breath. All parts of the body are scanned for muscular tension of any kind, which is consciously released as it is found, optionally with a small repetitive movement of the area. All control of the breath, the mind, and the body is then released for the duration of the posture, typically 20-30 minutes. It is very easy if you make attention towards the blood circulating your body starting from feet to center of mind.

Osteoporosis

I want to share some important information about Osteoporosis in females. First we need to understand that what actually Osteoporosis is.
Osteoporosis is a weakening of the bones due to the loss of bone density and improper bone formation.

The major role played in bone density is by one important, hard to digest mineral named Calcium.
Calcium is a mineral that, even before birth, plays a significant role in almost all our body functions, including the development and health of our teeth and bones, and ultimately in protecting the body against debilitating bone loss as we age.

Generally, osteoporosis affects all the bones in the body. But in females it affects commonly on the hip, wrist, and spine, also called vertebrae. Vertebrae support your body, helping you to stand and sit up.
Vertebrae can cause major problem for women. A fracture in this area can occurs even from daily activity such as bending forward, lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs etc.

Now we will learn the signs of Osteoporosis:

  1. Back Pain
  2. Bent shoulder
  3. Curve in the back
  4. Protruding abdomen
  5. Hunched poster
  6. You are over age 45 or a post-menopausal and you break a bone

The things we need to check:

  • Having a family history of osteoporosis
  • Being over 65 years old
  • Not getting your period (if you should be getting it)
  • Having anorexia nervosa
  • Long-term use of certain medicines, including:
    1. Glucocorticoids  - medicines used to treat many illnesses, including arthritis, asthma, and lupus
    2. Some antiseizure medicines
    3. Gonadotropin - releasing hormone — used to treat endometriosis
    4. Antacids with aluminum — the aluminum blocks calcium absorption
    5. Some cancer treatments
    6. Too much replacement thyroid hormone
    • Habit of smoking
    • Alcohol drinking
    • Diet of low dairy products (calcium)
    • Not getting enough exercise
You need to get your bone density check, if you are above 45 years of age and had a fracture. You can go for dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) test. For this please consult your doctor.
Prevention is always better than cure. So, if you are below 45 years than start taking care of your body.

Have calcium rich diet: You can get calcium through foods and/or calcium pills, which you can get at the grocery store or drug store. All dairy products are rich in calcium such as fat free yogurt, milk, tofu, spinach, canned white beans. Calcium is hardest mineral to digest. You should go for calcium check, so that it will ensure that how much calcium is required by your body.
You should know that how much calcium you need each day:
  • In the age between 9 to 18 years: 1300 mg per day
  • In the age between 19 to 51 years: 1000 mg per day
  • In the age between 51 and above: 1200 mg per day
Have daily dose of vitamin D: It is important to get enough vitamin D, which helps your body absorb calcium from the food you eat. Vitamin D is produced in your skin when it is exposed to sunlight. You need 10 to 15 minutes of sunlight, two to three times a week to make enough vitamin D. You can also get vitamin D by eating foods, such as milk, or by taking vitamin pills.
Regular exercise: We all have exercise at least three days in a week to have a healthy life. Females are prone to such disease after pregnancy. So you take extra care of your self. Practice yoga such as bow asana in your day-to-day life.
Right Posture: You should have correct sitting and standing posture. Proper back support as you sit on chair, should not slouch. Always bend your knees and than pick any object. Do not stand with an awkward, drooping posture.

Hair care after holi

Hair care after holi

Hi
There is no festival more vibrant, colourful and exhilarating than Holi. The consequence of Holi in not just spoilt clothes and floors, but skin and hair damage too due to the presence of chemicals in the colours used. The colors make your skin and hair dry. The colors can make your hairs brittle and extremely dry for a long time. This is due to the chemicals in the colours and the dust in the air.
I will share some tips which will be helpful to you in reducing the after-effects of holi colors from your hairs. To discourage hair loss and fall due to harsh chemicals in the holi colors, here are some remedies.
  1. Apply almond oil and olive oil to your hair every night.

  1. Soak fenugreek seeds in 4 tablespoon of curd then apply to hair or apply yellow of egg to the scalp for 30 minutes. Then wash away with shampoo.

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar to 3 tablespoon of oil and apply it to the hair. This will provide strength to your hair.

  1. Make a hair pack with multani mitti or Fuller's earth mixed with amla or Indian gooseberry powder and shikakai powder. Apply this pack on your hairs and leave it for 20 minutes than wash it off. Do not shampoo your hairs for that day.

  1. I am using SBL’s Montana shampoo and oil. Believe it, this shampoo and oil are best gift for your hairs. It will re-strengthen your hairs and stop hair fall occurred due to harsh chemicals used in holi colors.

  1. Protection for colored hairs: Holi colors will spoil your hair color and damage hair texture. If you had your hairs colored than you need to be extra protective from harsh holi color chemicals. Go for herbal hair packs of brands like Biotique’s Musk root and Emami’s Hair life. Both hair packs are of good quality and give extra protection and required deep conditioning.

  1. Chemicals in holi colors can also cause pimples on your hair scalp which can be very itchy and irritant. You should use any neem (margosa) based shampoo such as Biotique’s Bio margosa. If you do not find this shampoo in your near by store than use neem water for last hair rinse. Boil neem leaves in normal tap water. Let it cool than strain and use it for hair rinse. Only use medicated shampoo. If problem persists than visit your doctor.

Skin Care after Holi

Skin care after holi
Hi
In India we all play rigorous and heart full holi festival with all sorts of colors. Holi without colors is meaningless and with colors your beauty is in danger. The consequence of Holi in not just spoilt clothes and floors, but skin and hair damage too due to the presence of chemicals in the colours used. But after the holi, our skin reflects the effect of colors in form of allergy, pimples, and color residues. Most of us play this festival with color mixed with water which results as skin tanning.
I will share some tips which will be helpful to you in reducing the after-effects of holi colors, sunbath.
1. Let’s start with tanning: For instant reduction of tanning, you should go for any oxy bleach. But if you want to avoid bleach than go for face pack made of gram floor (besan) mixed with raw milk and pinch of bleach activator. Do not let this pack to dry.
Always, go for proper cleaning regimen every day and night. This is cleansing, toning and moisturizing your face.
2. Removal of left colors: The colors which left on the face will give an uneven tone to the skin. Every body wants to have the same old glow on their faces which was as before holi. I am again stressing on regular skin cleansing regimen. Use sweet almond oil to remove holi color from your face. Use homemade scrub of sugar mixed with glycerin. You can also use paste of amchoor (dried mango powder) mixed with water to remove the color.
3. Control acne problem: For that sudden pimple emerged after holi festival. You need to take extra care of your skin as it can cause an allergy. Firstly do not touch it frequently as it can rupture and turn into scar. Apply any strong astringent only on the pimple, so that it will be suppressed. In the night, mix honey with neem powder and cinnamon powder and leave it on that pimple. Wash it in the morning.
4. Allergies: We can sooth face allergies by rubbing water melon juice and applying sandalwood paste mixed with vitamin E oil. Also you can use honey on your face. Leave honey for at least 20minutes than wash it with normal tap water. Betnovate GM can be used for small allergies. But if allergy persists than visit your skin dermatologist.
There are few face packs which can be useful to treat your skin:

  1. For dry skin: Mix 1 tsp almond powder with 1 tsp honey, 2 drops lemon juice, little milk. Apply this paste on your face. Let it stay for 20 minutes and than remove this pack by rubbing your face gently with rose water. This will make your skin soft and clean.
  2. For oily skin: Especially for acne problem. Mix 1 tsp soaked Masoor Dal with dried Orange peel, 1 tsp rose water, 2 - 3 drops lemon juice. Apply this paste on your face. Wait till it dry out, than remove it with cold water and apply cucumber juice.

skin acne problem

It is true that the beauty is not in your outer surface it is way beyond, beneath your soul. But it is also true that what is inside that reflects outside. So, with inner beauty your outer beauty is also equally important.
We all have skin problems in different phase of life. The common skin problem is acne. There are hundreds of medications, treatments, cleansers and cosmetics which are available to treat or prevent skin acne.
I will share some of the tips which will help you to treat your skin acne problem from its core.
Go step by step:

1. Eating a healthy and balanced diet: We all know that a healthy diet will benefit your body but it also help your skin to glow. Just we need to cut down on caffeine, sugar and refined carbohydrates, to control sebaceous (oil) glands. Add more fruits, leafy vegetables, seeds, nuts, juices and other healthy treats to your daily diet, and you'll see in improvement in your skin.

2. Water to maintain the skin's elasticity: Water plays an important part in our body. Approximately 85% of your brain, 80% of your blood and 70% of your muscle is water. So, the water is most important nutrition of your body. Drink plenty of water to make your skin healthy. Water is the one of the common detoxifier agent which removes the toxin of your body by filtering your kidneys. This self-healing system removes the toxic wastes of metabolizing food and of other harmful substances that get into our bodies one way or another.
This purification system operates efficiently only if the volume of water flowing through it is sufficient to carry away the wastes. So you should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.

3. Exercise regularly: Exercise is important for your body, mind and skin health. Do it for at least half an hour, five days a week or one hour for three days in a week. It will improve your blood circulation and help your body clear toxins from your system through sweat. Better circulation also increases the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your skin. Exercise also relieves stress, which is a common cause of acne flare-ups.

4. Exfoliate, cleansing, toning, and moisturize: At night, first remove all your makeup with an oil-free makeup remover and a cotton ball. Then wash your face with lukewarm water and an oil-free, non-comedogenic (doesn't block pores) cleanser. Pat (don't rub) it dry with a soft towel and apply an oil-free moisturizer. In the morning wash your face as directed above, and then use an alcohol-free toner. Next apply any water based moisturizer and oil free (water based) makeup.
You can make your own moisturizer by mixing rose/cucumber/basil water with glycerin
Once or twice a week exfoliates your skin with alpha-hydroxyl acid or glycolic peeling. This will aid in the shedding of dead skin cells, the "food" for the bacteria that cause pimples.

5. Skin protect from the sun and harsh weather: One popular myth about acne is that tanning will clear it. On the contrary it will make your skin dark and oily, which clog your pores and produce more acne. Always wear sun block with at least an SPF-15 UVA & UVB rating.

6. Get plenty of good-quality rest: Your immune system requires energy to do its work, including the work of protecting your skin from acne. You can listen to music or do yoga, meditation to relax your mind. The best yoga asana for relaxation and mind rest is savasana (Corpse Pose).

7. Good and rest full night sleep: The deep sleep the brain needs for "recharging" comes several hours into the sleep cycle. That's why a few hours here and there won't do. Most people need at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Consider it beauty sleep.
