Benefits of Cinnamon



Cinnamon is common spice used in Indian household. We use for flavor enhancement of our home cooked food. But do you know that it has many medicinal properties which are very useful and handy to deal with common diseases. 


Control blood sugar:
The antioxidants present in cinnamon control the formation of high blood sugar compounds which are very bad of your body. These high blood sugar compounds can lead to problems, like diabetes, heart disease, nerve disorders, eye and kidney damage. It may not only inhibit high blood sugar damage but also help lower blood sugar. 
But of course, the real keys to blood sugar control are eating rightexercising, and keeping your weight down. 


Control pimples:
Yes guys, this is true that you can control of acne with this magical spice named cinnamon. Mix cinnamon powder with honey and apply this paste to your pimple/acne area for 1-2hrs than wash it with cold water.  


Treating your sore throat:
Add one table spoon honey and one small part of cinnamon (not in powder form) to the boiling water. Than leave it for few minutes so that water will come to its lukewarm state. Gargle with this water in the morning and at night after brushing your teeth’s.  
You can also have cinnamon mixed with honey in your morning tea. This will also help to cure your sore throat. 


Help to reduce arthritis pain:
Take half teaspoon of cinnamon powder mix it with one tablespoon of honey every morning before breakfast. 


Weight loss:
Drink luke warm water mixed with one teaspoon honey, two to three drops of lemon and one pinch of cinnamon powder in the morning after brushing your teeth’s ( this means before eating anything). 


Preventing hair loss:
To prevent your hair loss, you can apply hair mask mixed with cinnamon powder with honey. You can also make hair mask at home by mixing one bowl of fullers earth with two teaspoon honey, small bowl of curd and half teaspoon cinnamon powder. 


Reducing cholesterol:
Many studies have shown that just 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon per day can lower LDL cholesterol. 


Reduce gastric problem:
For people who are suffering from gastric problem should take equal quantity of honey with cinnamon powder. It relives gas and pain in the stomach.
