Depression - Indicators

Depression – Is a state when we feel low or down without any reason. Everyone must have faced it.

Indicators of depression

1. Disturbed sleep patterns i.e. insomnia or broken sleep

2. Changes in appetite or weight

3. Less ability to control emotions such as anger, guilt, irritability and anxiety

4. Varying emotions throughout the day, for example, feeling worse in the morning and better as the day progresses

5. Reduced capacity to experience pleasure: you can't enjoy what's happening now, nor look forward to anything with pleasure.

6. Changed sex drive: absent or reduced

7. Poor concentration

8. Reduced motivation: everything seem meaningless

9. Lowered energy levels
